NEW COATING

TOSCO standard solid carbide thread milling cutters will be stocked in a new coating. Until now, our standard general purpose coating has been the gold-colored Titanium Nitride (TiN). Our new standard high performance coating will be (TiAlN) Titanium Aluminum Nitride. It can be distinguished by its violet-gray color. This is a broad based coating. The improvements are:

• Higher hardness
• Lower Coefficient of Friction
• Higher oxidation resistance

This change will take place gradually as our older stock depletes. As always, any special coating required will be available upon request. This improvement will not affect pricing.
